Roman Electric | Uline Distribution Center WI - Pleasant Prairie
Randy CopenharveFacility/Construction Manager, Uline

This was one of the largest jobs in Southeastern Wisconsin. So one of our challenges was just pure size. Roman did a fantastic job. They're very professional. They did nice work all across the board.

Uline Distribution Center WI – Pleasant Prairie

Uline, a leading distributor of shipping and packaging materials, expanded its operations with a massive 1,086,202 sq. ft. distribution center in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Roman Electric was tasked with delivering comprehensive electrical services, including design/build solutions, new construction wiring, and extensive power and lighting installations, to support the facility’s high-volume operations.

Challenge

The sheer scale of the facility—comparable to more than 18 football fields—presented significant logistical challenges. Coordinating the delivery and installation of materials and equipment across the expansive space required meticulous planning to ensure resources were readily available where and when needed.

Solution

Roman Electric implemented strategic planning to maintain a consistent supply of materials and equipment on-site. Apprentices were utilized effectively to distribute these resources efficiently throughout the facility. The team installed 1,925 interior lighting fixtures across 210 aisles, 371 fixtures in speed bays, and a combination of 106 building-mounted and 66 pole-mounted exterior lights. Additional installations included wiring for 36 wrappers and a guardhouse, ensuring the distribution center operated seamlessly.
