Renovation

General Contractor: KM Development

Project Size: 55,981 sq. ft.

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Challenge: Roman Electric was contracted to add wiring to an aging structure while keeping the existing structure intact, supporting the cabling from old clay ceilings.

Solution: Roman went the extra mile and manufactured special clips to allow wiring to be installed fast and without disrupting the clay ceilings.

"Roman did an excellent job on lighting and power like they always do. They're very good to work with and very responsive."

Jim Theusch, Project Executive, KM Development

Additional Details: The old Pabst tank storage building and part of its decaying neighborhood have been creatively restored to impressive use as the UWM Zilber School of Public Health. One wall of the storage building was torn down and removed, a 70-foot addition was added, and the renovation created a good deal of open space and retained many original artifacts. The building was a privately-built project sold to UWM upon completion.
