The North End Apartments: The Aperture

The Aperture is a 168-unit luxury apartment complex situated in Milwaukee’s vibrant North End neighborhood. As part of a mixed-use development, the building features residential units above a fully operational grocery store, contributing to the area’s dynamic urban lifestyle. Roman Electric was entrusted with delivering comprehensive electrical services, including design/build solutions, power and lighting installations, low voltage systems, and new construction support, to meet the project’s multifaceted requirements.

Challenge

A primary challenge was executing all electrical work without disrupting the daily operations of the grocery store located beneath the new apartments. This necessitated meticulous planning and coordination to ensure that construction activities did not interfere with the store’s business hours or customer experience.

Solution

Roman Electric’s team collaborated closely with Peridot Construction Management to synchronize supply deliveries and infrastructure installations. By employing horizontal infrastructure techniques where necessary, the team successfully completed the electrical work efficiently and discreetly, maintaining the grocery store’s uninterrupted operation throughout the construction phase.
